allnations College seeks to employ a full-time experienced housekeeper to work in a varied role at the college. Duties include the facilitation and smooth running of a residential unit, 52 weeks of the year. This post requires good delegation and communication skills, the ability to use ones own initiative and to be a good team player.

“Living in God’s Love”

Healing Days are for anyone wanting to continue on their journey to becoming more like Jesus, particularly those who have exhausted themselves trying to find unconditional love and acceptance.

Lin Button (pictured above) has been involved in Healing Prayer for more than thirty years. She continues to research and develop healing prayer in the context of both conference teaching, prayer ministry and counselling.

Lin’s heart is to impart a biblical understanding of the human condition and through the ministry of the Holy Spirit, to set people free and on their journey to wholeness through the cross of Jesus.

Lin is a Pastoral Coordinator on the staff of All Saints Church, Woodford Wells, Essex. Lin is married with two sons and six grandchildren. Her husband Ron is the Conference Director.

The Healing Day is £8 per person. Tea and Coffee provided please bring a packed lunch.

New Service for the New Year

9.30 am Holy Communion at St Paul’s

(on 1^st, 3^rd and 5^th Sundays of the month)

Over recent weeks, we have been exploring whether to begin a new service at St Paul's at 9.30 am, in the Chapel.

A number have indicated that they would be glad of this, and so we shall be beginning in the New Year.

Special Treat Planned by Daniel Robinson's

A Special date to put in your diaries

Daniel Robinson & Sons shall be treating 56 children to a special treat on Saturday 17th December. All the children have had a tough year either due to bereavement or illness, and are going to be made to feel like royalty for the day.

The company shall be using their entire fleet of limousines (all decorated – including the drivers!) and collecting the children and their families from home. After they will form a convoy and under police escort be taken to St Paul’s Church Hall for lunch, before going to the afternoon pantomime performance of Peter Pan.

Phil Barrow, Manager said “these children and their families have had a hard year, and we want to make them feel special, something they have not really felt of late. We would like to thank St Paul's Church for all their help and support, and we hope many local residents will come out to wave and cheer as the convoy passes”.

More details of the event and the route will follow shortly.

HEART OF GOLD. Olympics 2012

With now less than 12 months to go before the opening ceremony the churches in Harlow have been considering how best we can respond to this exciting and spectacular event. Our athletes are preparing themselves to be in their best possible condition as they attempt to become qualifiers for our British team. 15,000 athletes and 20,000 press descend on our nation to provide a wonderful sporting event commencing in July 2012. Working closely with More Than Gold, the Christian organisation resourcing churches to respond to the needs of the Games, we intend to focus on one very practical initiative, that of providing hospitality to families of visiting athletes from other countries.

Many families visiting this country are not going to be able to afford hotel costs for their stay. In practice this is going to mean a family home offering at no cost, bed and breakfast for a couple for up to 2 weeks. In addition family members will need to be dropped off at a nearby train or bus station enabling them to travel to the appropriate Games venue. There are many other ways in which our Christian community can be involved, including mission work, counselling, drama, music, artwork and helping to staff the refreshment centres situated in the Stratford area.

We believe that our united response of offering such accommodation provides a fantastic opportunity to befriend visitors to our country and in a simple way offer to them God’s love in a setting that is safe and welcoming.

We have set ourselves a target of at least 50 homes across our town, many have already come forward to be involved. We hope and pray that many others will follow.
